EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF SURFACE TOPOGRAPHY OF AL7075-T6 ALLOY MACHINED BY EDM

چکیده

Electrical discharge machining is one of the most important non-conventional processes for removing material from electrically conductive materials by use controlled electric discharges. EDM a non-contact process, therefore, free mechanical stresses. This paper investigates Al7075-T6 alloy using copper electrode. was selected, because its growing in lot engineering applications. The effect electrical parameters, peak current and pulse-on time, on surface integrity, studied. Area roughness parameters (arithmetical mean height, Sa, maximum Sz) were measured all samples 3D characterization has been carried out with confocal laser scanning microscopy. experimental results showed that mainly affected time.
